A Letter To Dexter
“When I started scratching Dexter behind the ears, he began swaying his head from side to side and licking my arm. I looked into his eyes I saw his soul...and it was undeniably beautiful. I said out loud "That's the last time I am eating veal." My inside voice said "dairy too".

The idea that animals have a soul that needs to be respected is a universal truth that I had been denying. "Selective Compassion" as I call it, could also be described as"Selective Cruelty". This perverse rationale is responsible for so much evil in the world. I cannot express my gratitude for having you free me from it.
